Employees of the 85-year-old shrimp paste factory in Tai O teach the history and origin of shrimp paste and explain the manufacturing process. They learn about the only remaining traditional fishing village culture in Hong Kong. Chung Hui teaches how to make salted egg yolks. It is definitely a good holiday place for adults and children! Shrimp paste is made from pickled silver shrimp. The crushed silver shrimp will turn into a paste. After the instructor explains, students need to stir the paste of silver shrimp, add sea salt, and put it into a rectangular mold until it is solid. . Since drying takes time, each student will receive a souvenir of the finished Tai O shrimp paste as a gift. (The entire workshop will be conducted in Cantonese)
